Hello everyone!

I am sure some of you here have heard/seen commercials for the new MBP Retina-Display and some of you may already own one, well for those of you looking at this post I have a question:

I will be saving up for a new MacBook this year in order to prepare myself for the Graphic Design major program at my college. Originally I was going to buy a 17'' MBP but with this new model coming out I am unsure which would be better for me. I will be taking a diverse selection of design classes and will be using this computer for 5+ years probably.

So which do you think would be better to get?

Thanks for reading :)

Apple has made your choice very easy. There is no longer a 17" Macbook Pro unless you were referring to the older model. People I knew that got the old MBP 17" liked them but honestly didn't like transporting them because of the size and weight. Most just prefer the 15" and I think that is why the 17" was eliminated. They do have a 13" version but personally I feel it to be a tad small for graphic work unless connected to larger monitor but ideally suited for general net surfing and computing.

Hey Dean, thanks for your reply :)

I think I will probably just go with a 15'' MacBook Pro. After researching the Retina Display model I found that it may be a bit far ahead of its time yet as older webpages and such have not updated and look fuzzy, according to those who have bought the Retina Display MBP's.

15" or 17" MBP is still the best for now when it comes to customer satisfaction. Yes, The MBP with Retina Display are not good for those who love surfing the net since most sites are still not yet updated for the "retina" technology  screen compatibility - making them look fuzzy as you said.

Thanks for the reply Kerby :)

The 15'' MBP seems to be the solid choice now, maybe in the future I will get a retina display MBP but only when the internet is ready for that kind of technology which probably won't be for awhile haha.

I will definitely have to buy from Apple then :) my school also offers discounts on Apple products but there are other things I need to buy too so I think I will just go to Apple for all my needs.

Thanks for the reply and sorry my response took so long :)
