In the past I have received requests to make a reflection of a text or an image that has a layer style(s) on them (e.g. stroke, outer/inner glow, etc). The problem with this is, when I go in and make a reflection (I use the layer mask method), the styles are not reflected as they are supposed to (Show to the right). Has anyone else encountered this problem? What should I do?

Thanks!

Best and easiest fix is to just create a layer group with the type layer in the layer group folder with no mask. Then just apply the mask to the layer group instead.

Ok the first thing: in the typo,  the letters like y - a part under the baseline, not lucky to mirror cause the whole feeling of uncertainty. Like a swing, but i think the "styles" just a example.

I think you working with layer styles:

1. group the all layer which you will mirroring,

2. douplicate the group,

3. merge group to one layer,

4. ctr+t+right click Flip vertical and positioning,

5. Customise mirroring: making Reflection blur, and if you working with very high detail image Refraction Blur, use this:

feather, blur or defocus, transparent setting, clearing area, and everything that is good for the image
