Actually, I like both but for now I owned a Sony, lol, as I am just a novice and I found that's much easier and affordable for me.
So now, I can see the quality of Sony also and there are alot of praise for Pentax.
Do you have any idea about that?
I think if you have enough passion and of course persistence, problem is not camera anymore
I am personally a Canon. Though in photography, it is not the camera, it's the photographer. One of the reasons I like Canon, is because of the variety of lenses. (L Series are very expensive but have superb quality)
I am using Canon EOS 400d.
I would recommend Canon EOS 5D Mark II, but its very expensive (for me) though.
Good luck with searching your best one :)
Hi! I'm new here and seeing that the last update from this thread is ages ago I'll dust it off a bit :)
I use a Canon 500D but I was able to use Nikon, Sony and Pentax cameras from my previous work. IMHO no camera is better than the other since all brands has its strengths and weaknesses like Nikon's awesome color reproduction whilst Canon lacks in that department it makes up to the ISO handling.
I agree with Patrick. These days, too many good cameras out there but some do excel in certain areas more than others. If you want to have the most options for lenses and accessories though, I would recommend Nikon or Canon. Really, a good photographer can make a good photo from almost any camera.
I currently prefer Nikon and own a D200. I personally just like the user interface, quality of the lenses and options available on Nikon vs. others. I am also biased toward Nikon because I had an old Coolpix point and shoot camera that survived a motorcycle accident and still worked even though its housing had a nice big crack in it.
