Everything starts out with a concept most specially in movies, games even in advertising as well. This why concept art is a necessary part of the design process since in concept art everything is tackled like how will the creature look at when it is in action, how does light affects it and how big will it be against other creatures. Australian concept artist Luke Mancini is one of amazing concept artist that everyone should check out. His fantastic work in Starcraft 2 is a joy to see and most specially if you grew up playing the game back in ’98. Other than Starcraft, Luke aka *Mr. Jack in Deviantart also worked on projects such as the World of Warcraft trading card game and Privateer Press’ Warmachine making his style and work really diverse and amazing to look at for inspiration.
This is why today, we here at You the Designer is featuring Luke’s amazing body of work for you dose of inspiration.
