For the past year, when comics superheroes are getting the spotlight by their live action film counterparts, we have seen a lot of fan art and other artistic interpretations of the characters by different artists across the globe. Among the various works across the Internet, the series of lack and white posters created by Marko Manev caught our attention.
Marko Manev is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Macedonia and has been an active artist both in the fine art and in the pop-culture fan-art scene. He creates limited edition prints and movie posters as a freelance illustrator. One of his notable works is his “Noir Series” featuring dark-themed fan art posters of popular superheroes and villains. The black and white posters show silhouettes of the characters while on action, capturing the movement and how intense each scene is. The dramatic and mysterious look of each piece makes this series unique.
