Facebook, Personal or for Everything

With a little talk showing up about social networks and Facebook in particular, I was wondering how others with Facebook accounts use them? Do you keep it personal or use it for everything?Personally, when I first jumped on to Facebook, I dabbled with almost everything. I played games, liked everything that related to things I actually like and I left the door open for anyone who wanted to be my friend. Then, things changed.Soon I realized all those things I had liked became annoying because…See More

Accepted a New Job

Posted on July 4, 2012 at 3:00am 0 Comments

It looks like I will have sometime to rebuild the second version of my portfolio. I have accepted a new job position within the same company I had been employed, only in a new city. I am moving to Atlanta, Georgia come this September to work at the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper.

The new position is not exactly the internet creative position I was looking for but, it is a little like working as an art director which will give me some management skills that could come…

My New Elevator Portfolio Ver.1

Posted on June 21, 2012 at 10:53pm 4 Comments

I had started an idea I had for a new online portfolio about a month ago and was just slowly working on it until I realized I was going to need to interview to keep my job. So, I forced myself to not work on any other projects until it was done and hammered it out.

Due to time, I had to simplify my idea a little bit which is why I call this one version 1. You can see my new HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery…

Experienced Print and Online Designer for Hire

Posted on May 3, 2012 at 11:09pm 1 Comment

I started working in the newspaper industry back in 1996 as pre-press technician simply because I needed to get a foot in the door. I worked my way up in record time  of 3 years to journeyman in their union before finally getting the chance to jump into advertising as a designer where I could put my commercial art degree and computer knowledge to use.

I had made it through a dozen years of service with same newspaper company when cuts came. Luckily, I made it through several…

The service is called Twylah and anyone can sign up for a free page. The really cool thing about this service is the ability to customize it. I…
