Backgrounds are used everywhere, in designing various graphic materials and website templates. Sometimes it can be hard to create an original background for your web template or business card but mostly it’s very easy if you know some Photoshop techniques.
A lot of designers use different textures and patterns when designing new background. We do the…

Layouts play an important role in design. Resultful layouts catch the audience's attention and "force" to read the whole design. Think of advertisements or billboards as an example, where grabbing attention is extremely wanted. Through layouts designers can express themselves and communicate with readers as long as their designs are cohesive and well planned. Moreover, they need to follow certain rules. One of the rules is a path layout which will be covered in this tutorial. Also, we will…

When it comes to face retouching, the first step to success is to remove all imperfections that appear on the skin. The second step is to resize a part of the face (i.e. nose or chin) to give our subject thinner/thicker appearance. In this tutorial we will cover blemishes removal and chin & jaw reduction. Please note, we cannot just make the image too much retouched that it will look so obvious, and so we need to remember to maintain the original skin texture as much as…

Did you know that there are hundreds thousands of different fonts out there? How important is the style of font you are using in your logo, leaflet, on your website or shop's sign? Typography is a separate area of graphic design and it fascinates people. Every single font has different style & size; it could be serif or sans serif; it communicates the information in various ways than the other. With so many choices it is hard to decide which one will best suit your company's…

As a critic of logo designs and logo design companies, I see countless new logo design websites popping on the internet almost after every two days. Every graphic designer with a degree in designing starts a logo design company, which is quite unfair. Genuine entrepreneurs who seek professional and experienced logo design companies often fall for such pseudo designers who end up charging big sums of money for low quality logo designs. However, there are some really authentic and dedicated…

Earlier this year, I found out that Thundercats was coming back onto TV. I got very excited because back in the 1980s, Thundercats was probably the greatest show on Earth.
I rather like the new show, but there are two things that have changed that I find simply unacceptable, the theme tune and the Thundertank.
The original Thundertank was built by Panthro using parts salvaged from the Thundercat's ship after it…
