It looks like I will have sometime to rebuild the second version of my portfolio. I have accepted a new job position within the same company I had been employed, only in a new city. I am moving to Atlanta, Georgia come this September to work at the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper.
The new position is not exactly the internet creative position I was looking for but, it is a little like working as an art director which will give me some management skills that could come…Continue

I had started an idea I had for a new online portfolio about a month ago and was just slowly working on it until I realized I was going to need to interview to keep my job. So, I forced myself to not work on any other projects until it was done and hammered it out.
Due to time, I had to simplify my idea a little bit which is why I call this one version 1. You can see my new HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery…Continue
I started working in the newspaper industry back in 1996 as pre-press technician simply because I needed to get a foot in the door. I am working with a Cocos2D…Continue

In my experience, many times those that talk the most seem to provide the least amount of creativity, attention to detail and sometimes, the least amount of output. Yes I am creating a stereotype and no it doesn't apply to all but I think it does fit most.
I had been looking around on various websites posting freelance jobs with most being just simple contract type of work and was really disappointed in the value most were offering for services. Some weren't even touching minimum wage when you consider time needed.
Then, I thought about how much I would like to make per hour which is a price I set a couple of years ago. This is taking in consideration computer equipment, software, time, taxes, and honestly, my personal amount…Continue
