If the term “slice of life” has any meaning to you, then you probably watch too much animé.

“Slice of life” in anime and manga refers to the genre depicting the mundane realism of everyday life. It is exactly this concept that artist Yuuta Yoyoi aims to depict in his 8-bit pixel art gifs.

Aside from his handle 1041uuu, not much is known about the Japanese designer. He has active social media presence though, keeping a Tumblr, Instagram, and Google+ accounts.

Yuuta Toyoi’s gifs uses 8-bit pixel art style to depict everyday Japanese life. His animation has a haunting feel to it, with some hitting close to home. He doesn’t say much in his picture captions, but the gifs speak for themselves.
