Black and White Photography by Benoit Courti

by . August 22nd, 2014

It’s a fact that colors give life to a picture — making it lively, beautiful, and eye-catching. But what if the picture is monochromatic? What do you feel when you look at a black-and-white picture? Does it make you feel that there’s a meaning behind it or do you take it for what it is?

French photographer Benoit Courti created a perfect example of bringing life to a black-and-white picture. He was a music composer before becoming a professional portrait photographer in 2010, specializing in dramatic and expressive image compositions.

On his black-and-white photography series called Deep Black, you can discover the meaning behind every image he took and feel the different emotions he’s trying to convey.
