Some weeks ago I was tagged in Facebook by a colleague to do this 5-day black-and-white challenge. While I haven’t uploaded a black-and-white photo (heck, I haven’t even captured any) to participate in the challenge, it’s really amazing to see more and more people doing the challenge as the weeks pass by.
We are still looking for who started the 5-day black-and-white challenge since it would be nice to have a chat with the originator and know his thoughts as to what led to the creation of the challenge. For those who are living under a rock, the challenge basically asks people to post 5 black-and-white photos for five consecutive days regardless if it is a recently taken photograph or an old one. The person who will be posting the images will then have to nominate their friends and challenge them to do same.
If you are like me who’s thinking of photographing new images for the challenge but currently stumped, I have compiled a list of images taken from Facebook as well as Twitter that are actively taking part in the challenge that would hopefully give you folks the inspiration you need. First on the list are my top 5 personal favorites which I discovered while searching for inspiring challenge photos:
Michael Savage (Facebook | Flickr)
Ian Jay Traqueña (Weebly)
Maiah Aguilar (Tumblr | Blogspot)
Jaime Chan (Blog|Website)
Gabi Ben Avraham (Facebook | Website)
Now here are our picks that we found on Facebook and Twitter:
If you haven’t been tagged, then we are tagging you and everyone else to join in to the 5-day black-and-white photography challenge. Please use the #BlackandWhiteChallenge tag on your posts.
