Classic Cars and Their Country of Origin – Poster Series

by . July 26th, 2014

Iconic cars painted with their country of origin flag colours.

What model of car defines your country? Like how The Ford Mustang is labeled as the true Classic American Car. Today’s featured project show us a way to tell the home country of a classic car when you see one.

Trivia! The definition of a classic car varies from one country to another. A car must be between 30 to 49 years old to be called classic, while 50 to 99 year-old cars fall into pre-antique class, and 100 year-old and above cars fall into antique class according to the Classic Car Club of America. Classic cars in the UK are categorized into veteran (pre-First World War), vintage (1919-1930), and post-vintage (1930s).

The designers of CJ Pony Parts created a poster series that shows how some iconic classic cars would look like if they were painted with the flag colours of the country from which they originated. They’ve got the 1962 Ferrari in Italy’s colours, the 1964 Aston Martin with Great Britain’s flag, Germany’s 1963 VW Beetle, the 1964 Ford Mustang with the Stars and Stripes, and more.

We’ve put some previews below but you can check the whole series at their website.
