Curious Kickstarter Campaign: The Coolest Cooler

by . July 21st, 2014

I find Kickstarter a really interesting site. It’s a great collection of creative minds fuelled by others who want to see their ideas come into reality. The content is incredibly diverse, from some random guy’s dinner, to the comeback of an old TV show. Both of which have been extremely successful.

As the warmth of summer continues on, it provides great inspiration for different projects, whether it’s some kids around the corner selling juice, summer promos at a travel agency, or a fitness contest through rigorous terrain. However, one summer-related Kickstarter Campaign stands out with 39 days left on Kickstarter, and already at over $6 million.

Introducing the Ryan Grepper’s Coolest Cooler: “a portable party disguised as a cooler, bringing blended drinks, music and fun to any outdoor occasion.” But what makes the Coolest so special? Does it hold more? Chill faster? Not really. What it is is a boy scout’s entertainment system, complete with an 18v battery powered blender, removable waterproof wireless speakers, a cutting board, a USB charger, beach tires, tie-down for extra gear, storage for dining utensils, and of course a handy bottle opener. All of this in a 25″x18″x17″ 60 quart cooler. Batteries last 8 hours, but Ryan’s looking for ways to incorporate solar panels.

Prizes include a blended drink guide, an hour’s Skype talk with possible Kickstarter project advice, and Ryan himself bar tending at your event.
